Introduction to First Aid for Lay Medical Staff

This short course is designed as an introduction to First Aid for medical receptionists etcetera, who may find themselves as the first point of contact (by telephone or in person) for patients or casualties requiring immediate treatment. It covers wounds and bleeding, heart attack, seizures (epileptic & febrile), asthma & croup, burns, hypothermia, poisoning and diabetic emergency. It does not cover CPR, as this is mandatory, and delivered in other courses.
